“This national annual event gives positive visibility to the early childhood care and education sector who continue to support National Pyjama day at a time when there are increasing stresses in the sector. Last year over 1200 childcare services took part in National Pyjama Day.

There are many benefits to National Pyjama Day for everyone. These include having fun, enjoying yourself, feelings of wellbeing and knowing that you can help a very worthwhile cause.

Pyjama Day offers us an opportunity to consider all those nice things we associate with pyjamas, such as bed time stories, or indeed stories at any time.

For a child, what could be better, than cuddling up in their cosy PJs and reading a story, or better still having their parents read to, or with, them? Reading together is so much fun for young and the young at heart; it’s what memories are made of.”
