75 Years in the Park
Lord Mayor Christy Burke unveiled our 75th anniversary plaque on Friday 22nd May. Chairperson Tim Tuckey thanked all the related funders & friends of St. Brigid’s Day Nursery who have contributed to our ongoing work with local children over the past 75 years. Ellen Rowley brought us on a trip down memory lane with tales of the first days of St. Brigid’s Day Nursery in 1940 when first opened by the Civic’s Institute of Ireland. Minister Paschal Donohoe took time out of his busy schedule to celebrate with our children and families and thanked the teachers for their work which enriches the lives of so many young children.
